Thu May 24, 10:00 AM ET
WASHINGTON - For every generation in this country there has been a war. And with wars come millions of records that can shed light on family history, detailing everything from the color of soldiers' eyes to what their neighbors may have said about them.
On Thursday, Ancestry.com unveils more than 90 million U.S. war records from the first English settlement at Jamestown in 1607 through the Vietnam War's end in 1975. The site also has the names of 3.5 million U.S. soldiers killed in action, including 2,000 who died in Iraq."

Mind Your E-Mail Manners
"Don't contribute to rudeness on the Web; learn these ten rules and use them forever.
James A. Martin
Monday, September 25, 2000 12:00 AM PDT
Let's begin our e-mail etiquette course with a pop quiz: Your coworker Hank has such terrible breath that it's become a subject of office gossip. Should you send an anonymous e-mail to warn Hank, tactfully, of the problem?
If your answer is yes, you've violated PC World's second rule of e-mail etiquette: Don't use e-mail to deliver sensitive messages. But don't be discouraged: Lots of other people's e-mail manners are as bad or worse.
With the explosion in use of the Internet and personal computers have come massive violations of e-mail etiquette. An online survey conducted by Yahoo found that the majority of 13,000 respondents scored a C-minus in e-mail etiquette. As manners maven Letitia Baldrige recently said in a USA Today opinion piece, 'E-mail is so beloved, universally accepted, and adored that I feel almost like a traitor suggesting that there is a growing trend to abuse it.'"

Jury Duty Scam
Federal Bureau of Investigation - Press Room - Headline Archives: "The phone rings, you pick it up, and the caller identifies himself as an officer of the court. He says you failed to report for jury duty and that a warrant is out for your arrest. You say you never received a notice. To clear it up, the caller says he'll need some information for 'verification purposes'-your birth date, social security number, maybe even a credit card number.
This is when you should hang up the phone. It's a scam. "

Back in the day, mobile phones were rare and pricey. Rich businessmen carried them around in suitcases. I remember when I was in middle school and Melissa Miller's dad had a car phone. That was fancy. Mr. Miller is a fancy guy. These days, mobiles are low-cost and everywhere. In many countries, mobile phones outnumber their land-line counterparts. Around the world, mobile phones are increasingly pervasive and this is especially true when it comes to developing areas. People even decorate, customize, and accessorize their phones to reflect their personality. Sound familiar?
Mobile phones are perfect little blogging appliances that people carry around with them everywhere. Sharing photos and stories with friends while you're on-the-go by sending them straight to your blog—what could be easier? Turns out it can be easier, that's why we created Blogger Mobile. Webby Awards
The best of the web as decided by the academy and peoples choice.
Webby Honorees, Nominees and Winners truly represent the best of the Web. They are but a small percentage of total entries and have been chosen by members of the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences based on a number of creative and functional criteria. See them all here.
Webby Award Winners:
"11th Annual Webby Awards Nominees & Winners:"
"With nearly 70 categories, Website entries make up the majority of Webby Awards Winners, Nominees and Honorees. Some are beautiful to look at and interact with. Others are a testament to usability and functionality. And a handful excel across the board. To be selected among the best is an incredible achievement worthy of praise -- and perhaps a little bragging."
